Welcome to JCO Campground
at Lee Baysden Pond.
Once a small mill pond with tons of history dating back to 1700's, Lee Baysden Pond, has evolved into a 22-acre lake centered within our 80 Acre wildlife paradise and campground.
The beauty of the lake combined with the rural country landscape of farmland and forest makes for breath taking sunrise and sunset views. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy peace and quiet or have the family out to camp, fish, swim, or hike around the lake. Watch for birds and wildlife that inhabit the lake and lands.
We offer daily fishing passes that provide access to some of Nc's finest Bass fishing, boat and kayak rentals, tackle/camp store (opened on the weekends and by reservations), tent camping, RV/Camper hook ups, and Glamping Cabins! We have an A-frame Couples Cabin and a Loaded Floating cabin. More unique stays to come! We would also love to help you with a location to host your youth church groups, scouts/rangers, nature inspired weddings, and other events!
JCO is a Finalist for Best NC Hipcamp for 2023 and 2024,Airbnb Superhosts and has been featured in Southeast North Carolina Magazine, the Duplin Visitor's Guide and Tiny House Magazine. We host a variety of photographers, vloggers, and videographers.

JCO Pro Fishing Staff
JCO boasts some amazing fishing. We have created a Pro Staff fishing team who have shown great knowledge, respect, appreciation, and enjoyment in the sport of bass fishing on our property. They are helping with teaching the next generations of fishers at events and through media videos. We host several fishing tournaments and events a year for kids. Collaborations at the Cabins
Decorated with a Valentines theme now through March 3rd in both Cabins.
The A-frame Glamping Cabin or the Float Cabin can collaborate with many local businesses for add-on extras. Customize your package! Perfect for anniversaries, birthdays, proposals, photoshoots, and getaways. Staycations are the best. Take a vacation close to home for ease of work, farming, or family. Choose from our preferred photographer, florist flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, charcuterie boxes, smores boxes, and more. Extras are added on during email bookings (many are exclusive to cabin guests and not on the website). We would love to host you and help make your stay memorable. Dates are booking fast! The Float Cabin boasts a covered front porch with hammock and chairs, TV and Wifi, small kitchenette, and full indoor bathroom. And did we mention it fully floats?!! Both Cabins a canoe rental is included. The A-frame Cabin gives more of the camping feel with a private outdoor hot water shower!
